2026 team sponsorship
Campaign privacy notice
Effective version: privacy-v4
Who is responsible
Kingdom Enterprises Worldwide, LLC, doing business as Unitus, is responsible for the Unitus Team Sponsorship Challenge campaign. Its notice address is 5605 77 Center Drive, Suite 101, Charlotte, North Carolina 28217.
This campaign notice supplements the Unitus Privacy Policy. It describes the information used specifically to administer the sponsorship campaign.
Information we collect
For team representatives, Unitus collects name, email address, representative role and authority confirmation, organization and team details, location, basketball level, a short team statement, required confirmations, and any later team story or eligibility information.
For supporters, Unitus collects first name, email address, adult confirmation, selected team allocation, required confirmations, and email-verification status.
For campaign integrity, Unitus keeps verification-token hashes, consent and document versions, review and count status, operational message status, audit events, and limited technical or fraud-prevention records. The campaign does not require payment-card information, government identifiers, or information directly from children.
How we use information
Unitus uses campaign information to register and verify participants, review team eligibility, issue and maintain supporter links, validate supporter activity, prevent duplicate or fraudulent participation, calculate reviewed counts, administer drawing and judged selections, contact representatives, fulfill selected-team awards, answer support requests, maintain audit evidence, secure the application, and comply with law.
Campaign-administration consent is required because these uses are necessary to operate the campaign. Withdrawing that consent may require Unitus to stop processing the registration or remove the team or supporter from future campaign activity, while retaining limited evidence required for security, legal compliance, or dispute handling.
Campaign and promotional email
Verification and other campaign-administration emails are transactional and may be sent as needed to administer your participation. Promotional email is optional and requires the separate checkbox below.
When the optional marketing checkbox is selected, Unitus records the disclosed consent-text version and timestamp and may sync the email address and limited campaign properties to Klaviyo. Leaving that checkbox unchecked does not affect campaign participation and does not create marketing consent or a marketing sync. Unitus keeps transactional verification and campaign-administration delivery separate from promotional marketing delivery.
Unitus will honor promotional unsubscribe and suppression states and will not use a new campaign submission to reactivate an unsubscribe, complaint, hard bounce, invalid address, or provider suppression. Unitus does not sell campaign personal information for money.
Who receives information
Access is limited to authorized Unitus personnel and authorized WAWCO service personnel who need the information to operate, support, secure, or review the campaign.
Unitus uses service providers to run the campaign, including Shopify for the connected storefront and administrator surface, DigitalOcean for application and database hosting, and the approved transactional-email provider for verification and campaign-administration messages. Providers may process only the information needed for their function and are subject to their contracts and applicable law.
Unitus may also disclose information when a participant directs it, when required by law, to protect rights or security, or as part of a lawful corporate transaction, consistent with the Unitus Privacy Policy.
Public information
Email addresses, supporter names, raw participant lists, verification links, review notes, and fraud records are not public. An approved team's name, organization, location, level, selected story details, and reviewed supporter count may be shown in the campaign experience or later public announcement.
Unitus will obtain any additional permission needed before publishing representative names, photographs, video, logos, marks, or information about minors.
Retention and deletion
Unitus retains representative, supporter, submission, and operational-message information for up to 12 months after the campaign closes so it can administer selection, fulfillment, support, corrections, and privacy requests.
Unitus may retain a minimized audit, consent, fraud, selection, tax, fulfillment, dispute, or legal-compliance record for up to three years after the campaign closes, or longer when law, a legal hold, or an unresolved claim requires it. At the end of the applicable period, Unitus will delete, anonymize, or unlink personal fields from retained audit evidence where reasonably practicable. Backup and residual copies may remain until ordinary secure deletion cycles complete.
Choices and privacy requests
Depending on applicable law, a person may request access, correction, portability, or deletion of campaign personal information, withdraw consent, or appeal a response. Unitus will not discriminate against a person for exercising an applicable privacy right, although deletion or withdrawal may prevent continued campaign participation.
Send a request to [email protected] with the email address used for the campaign, the person's name, and the requested action. Unitus may verify control of the submitted email address or request other proportionate evidence before acting. Unitus will respond within the period required by applicable law and will explain any permitted denial or retention.
Security, minors, and changes
Unitus uses reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including access controls, encrypted transport, hashed verification tokens, audit records, and limited production access. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.
Representatives and supporters must be at least 18. If Unitus learns that campaign personal information was submitted directly by a child, it will delete the information as soon as reasonably practicable and will not use it for campaign participation.
A material change to the campaign's data purposes, recipients, retention, or participant rights will receive a new notice version. Questions and requests may be sent to [email protected].
